Privacy Policy
Resyna is a product of VizyPlan, licensed by VizyPlan (“VizyPlan,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what the Resyna apps for iOS and Android, and resyna.ai, collect, why, how long we keep it, who processes it, and the choices and rights you have. Resyna is a relaxation app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
The short version
- We collect the minimum needed to run Resyna: your email and basic session activity.
- Heart-rate and health data are used solely to adapt your session audio in real time, entirely on your device.
- Your heart rate never leaves your device. We do not upload it, store it on our servers, or derive anything from it that we keep.
- We do not sell personal data, and we never use health data for advertising.
- You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and the date you signed up. Resyna uses passwordless sign-in, so we send a one-time code to your email rather than storing a password. We record when you accepted these terms.
Session and usage data
We record when a session starts and ends, which preset or track you chose, the session length you selected, the ambience setting, and how many seconds you actually listened. We use this to understand which parts of Resyna are useful and to fix problems. These records contain no heart-rate data and nothing derived from your heart rate.
Heart-rate and health data
If you connect a heart-rate source, Resyna reads your heart rate while a session is running so the sound can adapt to your rhythm. Supported sources are an Apple Watch (via Apple HealthKit), a Wear OS watch or band that writes to Android Health Connect, the on-watch sensor if you install the Resyna watch app, and standard Bluetooth heart-rate straps and bands.
Connecting a device is entirely optional — Resyna works without one, and sessions run on a gentle default pace instead. Heart-rate access is off by default, and permission is only requested at the moment you choose to connect a source. Readings are used on your device, in memory, to shape the audio while the session is playing, and to show you live calm, coherence, breath pace and heart-rate readouts on screen. They are discarded when the session ends.
Your heart rate is never transmitted off your device. We do not upload raw readings, and we do not upload or retain any value derived from them — including calm and coherence.
Website
If you use the chat assistant on resyna.ai, your messages are processed to generate a reply. If you choose to leave an email address or phone number in that chat, we store it so a person can follow up. We do not run advertising trackers on resyna.ai.
How we use information
- To provide Resyna: signing you in, running sessions, adapting audio.
- To improve Resyna: understanding usage patterns and diagnosing problems.
- To communicate with you: sign-in codes, important service notices, and — if you ask for them — product updates.
- To meet legal obligations and to protect against abuse or misuse.
Health data on your device
On iOS — Apple HealthKit
With your permission, Resyna reads heart-rate data through Apple HealthKit. In line with Apple’s requirements, HealthKit data is used only to adapt your session audio and to show it back to you in the app. It is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, it is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes, and it is not disclosed to anyone without your consent. Resyna does not write anything to HealthKit. You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Health app.
On Android — Health Connect
With your permission, Resyna reads heart-rate data through Health Connect using the android.permission.health.READ_HEART_RATE permission. This lets Resyna work with the watch or band you already own — Samsung, Fitbit, Garmin, Pixel Watch and others that write to Health Connect through their companion apps.
Health Connect data is used only to adapt your session audio in real time and to display it back to you during a session. It is read only while a session is actively running, and no Health Connect code runs at all until you start one.
We do not transfer Health Connect data off your device. We never use it for advertising or marketing, never sell it or share it with third parties for their own purposes, never disclose it to anyone without your consent, and never use it to train machine-learning or AI models. Resyna holds read-only access and does not write any data back to Health Connect.
You can revoke Resyna’s access at any time in Android Settings → Health Connect → App permissions. If you revoke it, sessions continue on the default pace.
On a Wear OS watch — on-watch sensor
If you install the Resyna watch app, it can read your heart rate directly from the watch’s own sensor using the android.permission.BODY_SENSORS permission, and sends the live value to the phone app over the paired-device link so the audio can adapt. The reading is used for that session only and is not stored on the watch or sent anywhere else.
Bluetooth heart-rate straps
Resyna can also connect directly to a standard Bluetooth heart-rate strap or band (for example Polar, Garmin, Wahoo or CooSpo). This uses Bluetooth permissions to find and connect to the device you choose; Bluetooth is off until you turn it on in Settings, so no Bluetooth permission is requested unless you ask for it.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, and who are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and sign-in emails.
- Vercel — hosting for resyna.ai.
- Apple — App Store distribution and, if you use it, HealthKit on your device.
- Google — Google Play distribution and, if you use it, Health Connect on your device. Health Connect data stays on your device; we do not send it to Google or to anyone else.
- Anthropic and ElevenLabs — used only to generate the replies and voice for the website chat assistant.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
- Account information — for as long as your account exists.
- Session and usage data — for as long as your account exists.
- Heart-rate readings — never stored. They are processed live on your device to drive the audio and discarded when the session ends. Nothing derived from them is uploaded or retained.
- Website chat contact details — up to 24 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
When you delete your account, we delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain something to meet a legal obligation.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data directly in the app: Settings → Delete account. This is permanent. You can also email us and we will process it for you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@vizyplan.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
If you are in the EEA or UK: we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), on the basis of your consent (health data and optional communications), and for our legitimate interests in improving and securing the service. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are in California: we disclose the categories of personal information described above. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly process the personal information of minors for those purposes.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to people who need it, and sign-in is passwordless to reduce the risk of credential theft. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Resyna is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete it. (Note: VizyPlan’s family app is a separate product with its own privacy policy and a separate database — Resyna account data is not stored alongside it.)
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
